Claymont Family Health Services is a primary health care center for individuals and families with little or no health insurance. They provide general exams, blood pressure screenings, minor illness treatment, women's health services, dermatology, adult/child immunizations and referrals to specialists or clinics. Volunteer physicians provide these services.

Kent Community Health Center

Kent Community Health Center provides a wide range of primary and preventative health and social services. Health care services include sick and well care, exams and immunizations, family planning, breast and cervical cancer screening, and health insurance and prescription assistance referrals.  Staff members are bilingual in English and Spanish. Medicare, Medicaid and sliding fees available.

La Red Health Center provides access to primary healthcare for all individuals. Services include pediatric, adolescent and adult medicine preventive programs, diabetes education, immunizations for children, routine school and sports physicals, HIV testing and counseling, prenatal services and mental health and substance abuse counseling. Application assistance is available for Medicaid, Community Healthcare Access Program (CHAP) and other programs. Services are based on sliding scale fees. Staff is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Translation and transportation services are also available. La Red is Spanish for "The Network."

Located in Wilmington, Delaware, Nemours Health Clinic provides a variety of services for senior citizens who meet financial qualifications and are citizens of the state of Delaware. These include comprehensive dental care, eye examinations and eyeglasses, and hearing tests and hearing aids. In addition, prescription drugs can be provided to enrollees through the Pharmaceutical Assistance Program at a reduced cost.

The Health Center provides medical care for patients of all ages, including obstetric and newborn care, pediatrics, adult and geriatric care. The Center offers well visits, sick visits, as well as surgery, orthopedic, foot, eye and dental care. It is also one of the state’s largest care providers for HIV patients. The Center has a team dedicated to connecting patients with any needed social services, including financial assistance.

Alfred I. duPont  Hospital is a division of Nemours, which operates one of the nation's largest subspecialty group practices devoted to pediatric patient care, teaching, and research. Located just outside of Wilmington, Delaware, the duPont Hospital for Children is a 180-bed hospital that offers all the specialties of pediatric medicine, surgery, and dentistry in a spacious, comfortable, and family-focused facility. Children from birth through age 17 with acute, chronic, and complex health problems benefit from the threefold mission established by our founders - excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Founded in 1916, Beebe Medical Center, located in Lewes, is a 158-licensed bed not-for-profit community medical center, providing comprehensive medical services throughout eastern Sussex County.  Beebe is accredited by the JCAHO, and monitors patient satisfaction through Press, Ganey Associates.

Christiana Care Health System, which traces its roots back to 1888, is one of the region's largest not-for profit health care providers, serving the people of Delaware as well as neighboring Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. A teaching hospital, Christiana Care is recognized as a regional center for excellence in cardiology, cancer and women's health services, as well as Level-I trauma care and Level-3 neonatal intensive care (both highest intensity). Christiana Care operates two hospitals, long-term and transitional care services and an extensive range of outpatient and home health services. Christiana Care, a 2004 Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence, provided more than $37 million of charity care last year.

St. Francis Hospital

St. Francis Hospital provides comprehensive healthcare to all individuals. St. Francis Family Practice provides a hospital-based family health practice, including obstetric and newborn care through Tiny Steps, a program for low-income pregnant women, staffed by resident doctors providing health screening, diagnosis, and treatment to patients of all ages. The St. Clare Outreach Program is a mobile van staffed by a doctor, a registered nurse and one assistant that travels to different locations in Wilmington to serve the homeless and others in need. The Center of Hope, a family health center in Newark, offers health care to migrant workers. The Tiny Steps program is also offered at the Newark location. VA Wilmington consists of one VHA facility located at Wilmington. The hospital has an approved authorized/ operating bed capacity of 60. Also included within the hospital is a 60-bed Nursing Home Care Unit. Wilmington VAMC operates Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Millsboro, DE, Ventnor, NJ, and Vineland, NJ, serving the three counties of Delaware and four counties of southern New Jersey. Wilmington VAMC is classified as a Clinical Referral Level 2 facility. It is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services with state-of-the-art technology. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics, and extended care. Wilmington VAMC is a part of VA Healthcare - VISN 4, which includes 9 other facilities in Philadelphia, Coatesville, Lebanon, Wilkes-Barre, Altoona, Butler, Clarksburg, Erie, and Pittsburgh.
